The weather may be grey where you are (it is where I am too!), but your statement “Asian sunscreens are superior in almost every way” is a very general one and is simply not true for reasons mentioned above. Don’t get me wrong, I love Skin Aqua, but I think it’s naïve to assume it’s providing the same defence. ![]() ![]() I am pretty sure that if there were a way of making a miracle disappears instantly perfect invisible SPF50+ with a PPD>20, European labs would be able to do it. In addition, labels are more regulated in Europe (for instance, the PPD of a sunscreen is required to be >⅓ of the SPF), so it is a lot harder to get away with a sunscreen that doesn’t actually protect as solidly as the label suggests. Second, as stated in my original comment, the reason a lot of them are less elegant is because they offer stronger protection. For instance, the brand SVR is extremely popular here, and noted for its nice formulas. Your statement suggests you have sampled a very shallow range of European sunscreens. I completely disagree and so would the millions of Europeans happily using non-LRP products. Posts without a valid tag will be removed by Automoderator.
